Attributed to Jacobus de Voragine by STC (2nd ed.) and NUC pre- 1956 imprints. Dated and signed at end: "... at Westmestre the twenty day of nouembre the yere of our lord MCCCClxxxiii ... by me Wyllyam Caxton." Imprint suggested by NUC pre-1956 imprints and STC (2nd ed.). Signatures: [pi]⁵ a-z⁸ [&?]⁸ [9?]⁶ A-V⁸ X⁶ Y³ 2a-2f⁸ 2g⁶ 2h-2i⁸ 2k⁵. Pages numbered on recto only. Numerous errors in paging. Imperfect: cropped, with slight loss of print. Reproduction of original in the Cambridge University Library.
