dc.description.abstractA translation of an extract of "Historia de las cosas mas notables de la China" by Juan Gonzáles de Mendoza. The section extracted was chiefly based on accounts by Martín Ignacio de Loyola. Translator's dedication signed: A.F. = Francesco Avanzi. Printer's name conjectured and publication date supplied by STC. Signatures: A-B. Running title reads: The discouerie of New Mexico. Reproductions of a photostat of the original in the Henry E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery. Appears at reel 387 and at reel 967 (same photostat filmed twice).
