dc.description.abstractA translation of: Tasso, Torquato. La Gerusalemme liberata. In verse. Leaf B1 comes in three states, in this order: (1) conjugate stanza 1 line 1 "The sacred armies and the godly knight" (2) as above, with a cancel slip with another version of stanza 1 beginning "I sing the warre made in the Holy land," or with traces of the now-lacking slip (3) B1 a cancel stanza 1 line 1 "I sing the sacred armies and the knight" the Argument also revised. Reproductions of the originals in the Henry E. Huntington Library and Art Gallery. Appears at reel 333 (2 copies) and at reel 359.
