Includes: A compe[n]dious old treatyse, shewing, howe that we ought to haue the scripture in Englysshe (STC 3021). "This is a mid-15th-century revision, with some further 16th-century linguistic modernization, of an English redaction by an unidentifiable Lollard of a Latin text composed by [Richard] Ullerston"--H&L, citing A. Hudson, EHR 90 (1975), p. 1-18. Previously attributed to John Purvey. Jerome Barlowe, William Tyndale, and William Roy have each been suggested as editor. The dialogue is in verse. Signatures: A-D. Formerly STC 6813. Identified as STC 6813 on UMI microfilm. Reproduction of the original in the British Library.
