dc.description.abstractEditor's dedication signed: Nathaniel Field. The appendix to book 3 includes a reply to "The apologie of the Romane Church" by Lawrence or James Anderton. "The fifth booke of the Church" has separate dated title page pagination and register are continuous. The appendix to this book contains an answer to "The first motive of T.H. Maister of Arts, and lately minister, to suspect the integrity of his religion" by Theophilus Higgons "A treatise of the groundes of the old and newe religion" by Edward Maihew and "The first part of Protestants proofes, for Catholikes religion and recusancy", possibly by Richard Broughton. The last leaf is blank. Reproduction of the original in the British Library.
