dc.description.abstract"The prose part of the 'Art of contentment,' is chiefly selected from the first European writers. Several of the pieces (those descriptive of America particularly) are my own ..."--p. vi. Dedicated to George Washington. Dated 1796 by Evans however, Searson in the preface states "... and in 1797 I published a book of poems ..." The dedication would indicate publication before Washington's death in December 1799. Errors in paging: p. 151 misnumbered 120 p. 45-46 imposed in reverse order.
